Serving Johnston Since 1944
The Johnston Lions Club is the longest functioning service organization in Johnston.
We provided community services such as street lighting and warning sirens before Johnston became a city in 1969.
We have assisted the Johnston schools with volunteer hours, dollars for sports awards banquets, teacher appreciation, bleachers in the gym, Christmas trees, flags, stadium press boxes, student scholarships, and eyeglasses for needy students.
In 1989 we built our community building for our club and we also make it available for rental for weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, and church. Mission
Our mission is to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement.
